The ManKind Project – Windsor/Detroit
Refund Policy

We believe strongly in the power of our New Warrior Training Adventure (NWTA)... and we also recognize that perhaps not every man will experience that power.  Moreover, whenever one steps into the unknown, it’s natural to wonder if it will be worth the price of admission.

So we make this commitment to you:

Refund of Training Tuition (all but Deposit):
If you COMPLETE the NWTA (i.e. stay through the closing ceremony on Sunday afternoon) and are not satisfied that you received value for your money, you can request a refund.  Simply write us a letter or email us within seven (7) days of completing your training. (Note:  Letters need to be postmarked within this 7-day timeframe).  We will refund what you paid except for the Deposit (which covers the basic costs of your food and lodging during the training weekend).

Please note these other important parts of our refund policy:

Your Deposit is Non-Refundable:
Deposits are non-refundable but are transferable.  This means that if for some reason you cannot attend the training you sign up for, you can apply your deposit to any NWTA in the Windsor-Detroit Centre or any other Centre throughout the ManKind Project within 5 years.

If You Do Not Show Up for the Weekend – No Refund:
No refund will be granted if you fail to come to the NWTA that you signed up for.  Any monies paid (including your deposit), can be applied to any NWTA in the Windsor-Detroit Centre or any other Centre throughout the ManKind Project within the following 5 years.

If You Do Not Complete the Weekend – No Refund:
The weekend begins on Friday evening and ends in the afternoon on Sunday with a Closing Ceremony.  If you leave the weekend prior to the Sunday Closing Ceremony, no refund will be granted.  If you leave early, any monies paid (including your deposit), can be applied to any future NWTA in the Windsor-Detroit Centre or any other Centre throughout the ManKind Project within the following 5 years.

Please understand that The Mankind Project (MKP) is a non-profit organization run principally by unpaid staff who volunteer their time.  Hosting an NWTA requires months of preparation and logistics which all require money.  Those costs include the rental of the facilities, food, materials, and the costs of bringing MKP Certified Leaders and Co-Leaders to lead your weekend.  That is why your tuition for the NWTA is $650, and that is why we have structured our refund policy as listed above.
